teen angst

Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now - The Smiths (buy full album)
In my life
Why do I smile

At people who I'd much rather kick in the eye?

Unloveable - The Smiths (buy full album)
I wear black on the outside
'Cause black is how I feel on the inside
And if I seem a little strange
Well, that's because I am

Half A Person - The Smiths (buy full album)
And if you have five seconds to spare
Then I'll tell you the story of my life:
Sixteen, clumsy and shy

Sheila Take A Bow - The Smiths (buy full album)
Boot the grime of this world in the crotch, dear
And don't go home tonight
Come out and find the one that you love and who loves you

Panic - The Smiths (buy full album)
Hang the blessed DJ
Because the music
that they constantly play
It says nothing to me about my life

Disappointed - Morrissey (buy full album)
This is the last song I will ever sing (yeah!)
No, I've changed my mind again (aww...)
Goodnight and thank you

Here we see the HI (Heliospheric Imager) visual data as it tracks interplanetary space for solar wind and CME's (coronal mass ejections) heading towards Earth. 30 century man

Yay! It's been a long time coming, but 30 Century Man is finally out on DVD and definitely gives great insight into Scott Walker, aka Noel Scott Engel. The greatest surprise is all those who make appearances in the film, including David Bowie (who is actually the executive producer of the documentary), Brian Eno, Alison Goldfrapp, Neil Hannon, Richard Hawley, Johnny Marr, Jarvis Cocker, a slab of meat used as a percussion and more.

Next: Delving into Walker's newer music, which I am completely unfamiliar with.

Joanna - Scott Walker & The Walker Brothers
The Old Man's Back Again - Scott Walker
Amsterdam - Scott Walker
Amsterdam - Jacques Brel

you know who i am

If you should ever track me down
I will surrender there
and I will leave with you one broken man
whom I will teach you to repair

You know who I am,
you've stared at the sun,
well I am the one who loves
changing from nothing to one

I cannot follow you, my love
you cannot follow me
I am the distance you put between
all of the moments that we will be
